Quinceañeras :)
And I will be going to the orphanage (hogar) with both of my daughters to celebrate! We are excited and honored to be a part of this great tradition, especially since Bella will be turning 15 in a few short years.
A quinceañera is a celebration of a girl's 15th birthday. It has cultural roots in Mexico and Spain and is widely celebrated by girls throughout Latin America. It's a right of passage that marks the transition from childhood to womanhood.
We are going to Guatemala in order to support 6 girls turning 15. We will hold a ceremony and fiesta (party) on their behalf.
But of course, that's not all we'll do while we're there. We'll also spend a lot of time with the other 70+ kids, playing, talking, and hugging.
